Mini Vacation before Basic!

Robert and I took a trip to Winchester, VA for a mini vacation. Our first stop on our trip was to a Sonic, where we sampled some delectable cuisine.

After walking around historic Winchester for what seemed to be an eternity, our next stop on our list was to Luray Caverns. (Both of us had never been)

After Luray, we had lunch here, Johnny Appleseed. (recommended to us by Gram) It was the best fried chicken and apple fritters we've ever had.

After filling our stomachs to the brim, we decided to take a drive on the famous Skyline Drive. Here is a picture from one of the overlooks. It was such a beautiful day.

That evening, Rob and I ventured into the country to find this sweet spot, Shenandoah Miniature Golf, in Gainesboro, VA. It was very dark outside, because of the lack of street lamps, so we opted to use lighted balls ($1 extra, but totally worth it).

To light the balls, you insert a glow stick in to the center of the ball, causing it to never go straight. I think we got triple bogeys on every hole!

The next day, we went to an orchard and picked apples.
Look at our loot!
Any one want an apple?
